Highlights from the 9th Annual South Florida Research Symposium

On July 24, Watershed Hydrology Lab presented their research at the 9th Annual South Florida Research Symposium. Armaanjot Singh presented a poster on Machine Learning-Based Estimation of Grassland Biomass Using Sentinel-2 Imagery in a Subtropical Grazing System, while Hugo Rodrigues presented a poster on Interpretable AI-Driven Groundwater Vulnerability Assessment in Florida’s Surficial Aquifer System. In the flash talk session, Gurjoban Singh presented Artificial Intelligence for Rapid Corn Kernel Moisture Assessment and Harvest Decision, Namrata Ghimire shared her work on From Satellite Pixels to In-Situ Validation: Forecasting Florida Red Tides, and Saba Shaghaghi presented Groundwater Table Forecasting in Florida Using Advanced Deep Learning Models.
